Floating bed with desktop

I wanted to get the max out of the kids room which should include a workstation, two beds and a library. So I thought it would be a good idea to make a wall to wall bed. You use the workstation as stairs up to the bed.

First you have to screw the bed frame to the wall. I had to use some big concrete screws.

Screw the frame together.

Then it is time to put the workstation together. All the stuff that I needed for the workstation is from Ikea.

Fasten the Hammarp worktop oak with screws.

Then it is time to paint it all.

I put some light under the bed so the library is shiny bright.

You can decide all kinds of colours with this gadget from Ikea.

This works both as stairs and a place to hide your toys.

And you can pull it all in too.

I mounted a sliced Hammarp oak top on the side of the bed so the kids don`t fall down.

And then you are done.
